Terms & Condition

royalstep.ae  ·  Last updated: 06 July 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the repair, maintenance and related services provided by Royal Step (“we,” “us,” “our”) to its customers (“you,” “the customer”). By handing over a device for service, requesting a quotation, or using our website royalstep.ae, you agree to these Terms.

1. Definitions

  • Device – any item (mobile phone, tablet, laptop, electronic device or accessory) you deliver to us for assessment, repair or service.
  • Service – the inspection, diagnosis, repair, maintenance or other work we perform on your Device.
  • Repair Warranty – the limited warranty described in Section 4.

2. Our Services

We assess and repair devices to the standard reasonably expected for the agreed Service. Before any chargeable work begins, we will give you an estimate of the cost and likely turnaround time. Estimates are based on the fault visible at the time of inspection; if additional faults are found during the repair, we will contact you for approval before proceeding with extra work or cost.

3. Quotations, Approval and Payment

3.1 A quotation is valid for [NUMBER] days from the date issued.

3.2 Any diagnostic or inspection fee, where applicable, will be communicated before work begins.

3.3 Full payment is due upon collection of the Device unless agreed otherwise in writing. We may withhold the Device until payment is received in full.

4. Repair Warranty (2 Months)

4.1 We provide a 2-month (60-day) warranty on the specific repair carried out, starting from the date you collect the Device.

4.2 The warranty covers only the part replaced and the workmanship for that specific repair. If the same fault recurs due to a defect in the part we fitted or in our workmanship, we will re-repair it at no charge during the warranty period.

4.3 The warranty does not cover:

  • A new or different fault unrelated to the original repair.
  • Any fault caused after collection (see Section 5).
  • Software issues, data loss, or third-party app problems.
  • Devices where the security/warranty seal has been broken, or where the Device has been opened, serviced or tampered with by you or any other party after our repair.
  • Consumable wear (e.g. battery capacity degradation over time within normal limits).

4.4 To claim under the warranty, you must present the Device together with the original repair invoice/receipt.

5. Exclusions and Limitation of Liability

Please read this section carefully.

5.1 Accidental damage is not covered. Our Repair Warranty does not cover any accidental damage to the Device, including but not limited to drops, impact, crushing, bending, liquid or water damage, or misuse occurring at any time.

5.2 No insurance is provided. We do not insure Devices left in our care. We do not provide, and you should not rely on us for, any form of insurance cover for your Device.

5.3 Devices are left at the owner's risk. While we take reasonable care of Devices in our possession, we are not liable for loss of or damage to a Device arising from events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Fire, smoke, flood or water damage;
  • Theft, burglary or break-in;
  • Power surges, electrical faults or natural disasters;
  • Accidental damage occurring on the premises; or
  • Any other event of force majeure.

You are responsible for arranging your own insurance if you wish to be protected against such risks.

5.4 Data and backups are your responsibility. Repairs can result in partial or total loss of data. You must back up all data before handing over your Device. We are not responsible for any loss of data, contacts, photos, applications or settings, whether or not such loss arises from our Service.

5.5 Pre-existing conditions. Some Devices (particularly those with prior liquid damage or previous repairs) may have hidden faults that worsen or cause the Device to fail during diagnosis or repair. We are not liable for such failures, and you accept this risk when you authorise the Service.

5.6 Cap on liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, where we are found liable for any loss in connection with a Service, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us for that particular Service.

5.7 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under the laws of the United Arab Emirates, including your statutory rights as a consumer (see Section 9).

6. Turnaround Time

Any timeframe we give is an estimate only. Delays may occur due to parts availability, the complexity of the fault, or other factors. We are not liable for losses arising from delays.

7. Spare Parts and Replaced Components

7.1 We use parts that, in our reasonable judgment, are suitable for the repair. Where genuine manufacturer parts are not used or available, we will inform you.

7.2 Replaced or faulty components removed during a repair become our property and may be disposed of unless you request their return at the time of authorising the repair.

8. Uncollected Devices

8.1 You must collect your Device within [NUMBER] days of being notified that it is ready.

8.2 Devices left uncollected beyond [NUMBER] days after notification may be subject to a reasonable storage charge.

8.3 We may, after giving reasonable notice to the contact details you provided, treat a Device left uncollected for more than [NUMBER] days as abandoned and dispose of it to recover unpaid charges, to the extent permitted by law.

9. Your Statutory Rights

These Terms operate in addition to your rights under UAE Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection (as amended) and its Executive Regulations. Nothing in these Terms removes or reduces any right you have under that law. Where any provision of these Terms conflicts with your mandatory statutory rights, those statutory rights prevail.

10. Customer Warranties

By handing over a Device you confirm that you are the owner of the Device or are authorised by the owner to request the Service, and that the Device is not stolen or subject to any third-party claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on royalstep.ae at the time you request a Service applies to that Service.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the applicable laws of the Emirate of [EMIRATE]. Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent UAE courts.
